New Ownership of Heiden, Inc.

Manitowoc, WI - Matthew and Karen Jacobson have purchased Heiden, Inc. from their father, William Jacobson, effective June 1st 2007.
Matt Jacobson, who has worked at the metal fabrication company in various positions since 1998, has majority ownership and will assume the role of President and CFO. He is a 1986 graduate of The College of Wooster and has an MBA from Marquette University. Prior to joining Heiden, he worked for 10 years in the Reinsurance industry and was based in Chicago.
Karen Jacobson joined the firm in 2006. A graduate of Saint Lawrence University with a Bachelor's degree in Economics, she assumes the role of Vice-President, Sales, Marketing & Administration. Previously, she was Senior Vice-President at AIG in New York.
The rest of the management team will remain the same. William Jacobson, who purchased the company in 1995, has retired to South Carolina but remains on the Board.
The Jacobson’s said the focus of the company going forward will remain largely unchanged. However, new emphasis will be placed on manpower development. This will come in the form of added training, education and increased communication throughout the company. Matt Jacobson said ''we have a fantastic group of experienced, highly skilled and dedicated employees at Heiden, Inc." He said the new ownership is proud of their employees' work ethic and are confident the company will be able to rise to the challenges they face in a highly competitive environment. "We will continue to pursue and implement lean manufacturing initiatives, and are working towards ISO certification by year's end".
Founded in 1958, Heiden's 60 employees specialize in steel, stainless steel, aluminum welding, forming and fabrication, serving a wide range of industries throughout the country. The company also manufactures its own line of crane truck attachments, serving the roofing, trash, logging and construction industries.
