We’re looking for a Production Scheduler who can keep our shop moving. This role owns the schedule, what runs, when it runs, and making sure jobs are ready when they hit the floor. If you understand manufacturing flow and like being in the middle of the action, this is a good fit.
Why You’ll Want to Work Here
- Stable, locally owned company — you’re not a number here
- Good pay and solid benefits — health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, holidays
- Hands-on role — you’re working with the shop, not just behind a desk
- Production environment — fast-paced, but structured
- Your work directly impacts production, efficiency, and customer delivery
What You’ll Be Doing
Own the Schedule
- Decide what jobs run and when
- Build and maintain the production schedule in Epicor
- Keep priorities clear and aligned across departments
Keep Production Moving
- Make sure jobs are ready before they hit the floor (material, routing, info)
- Work directly with supervisors when things fall behind or change
- Adjust the schedule daily based on real shop conditions
Stay Ahead of Problems
- Identify bottlenecks and gaps before they slow things down
- Communicate changes clearly so everyone is on the same page
- Step onto the floor to verify job readiness and workflow
Drive Improvement
- Look for ways to improve flow, reduce downtime, and keep things organized
- Support process improvements that make the shop run better
What Success Looks Like
- Jobs are ready when they hit the floor
- Production isn’t waiting on material or direction
- Priorities are clear and communicated
- You’re staying ahead of issues, not reacting to them
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing coordination, or similar
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred)
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable reading work orders, prints, and production schedules
- Able to prioritize and shift quickly when things change
- Strong communication — you’ll be working with production, purchasing, and leadership
Who You Are
- You like structure, but can adjust when things don’t go as planned
- You’re confident making decisions and keeping things moving
- You’re comfortable working with the shop and holding the schedule together
- You take pride in keeping things organized and running right
